4x4 xtrem - KOF 2024

A 4x4 extreme that's going to blow your socks off!

The King of France will be the second race of the 2024 Ultra4 Europe season and will also be valid for the NorteX4 Ultra4 Championship, organised by José Rui Santos, the organiser of the King of Portugal.

The adrenalin will be pumping for this thrilling race! The best teams from all over Europe will be pushing their limits on an iconic race course that will put them to the test.

The tracks at Château de Lastours have been the venue for the Paris Dakar prologues for several years now. The King of France is being organised here by Nicolas Montador with the support of Chris Bowler for the track layout - two legendary names in the sport! The terrain is rocky with numerous valleys and very steep sections. The mineral environment offers a fantastic course with a varied layout between fast tracks and technical rocky areas. In short, a 4x4 extreme of the highest order!

See you from the 13th  to the 15th of June 2024 at the magnificent Château de Lastours (11)!

A few words from the organisers

What a race!

An epic, incredible course, mixing very fast portions and very technical rocky areas. The first impressions of the pilots are all positive on this terrain which is really ideal for hosting the King of France.

Nicolas Montador was not mistaken in his choice and vision. Chris Bowler was able to highlight the geography of the place to offer a tailor-made race track with just the right amount of difficulty to satisfy everyone.

A real success confirmed by the 40 crews present on site. We had the pleasure of welcoming teams from 10 different countries. Between the members of the organization and the teams who came on site, nearly 500 people gathered.

The chosen site was beyond all expectations, the Château de Lastours estate (in the Corbières near Narbonne) is simply fantastic and we thank all the staff for their warm welcome.

Everything is there: fantastic landscapes, rocky hills from which you can see the Mediterranean, deep and rocky valleys, fast tracks with winding sections. The race route of around twenty kilometers made it possible to run 4x4s and Unlimiteds on all types of areas. The drivers were able to express their talents both in terms of crossing but also in fast driving.

The race takes place over three days with the traditional technical checks of the 5 vehicle categories (Stock, Modified, Legend, SSV, Unlimited) and administrative checks before hand. The routes are mostly similar except for the Stock and Ssv categories which do not have the extreme crossing zones to pass.

A great success that we hope to repeat in 2025!
